80924 - Learning Manager - Purchase, NY area

SALARY:
$80-100k plus 15% bonus

 

REPORTS TO: Organizational Effectiveness & Learning Director

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will be responsible to develop and implement the company’s Sales and Marketing Academy.  Position typically works with all levels of management and employees of Company, as well as outside consultants and vendors on a broad range of activities and issues. A High Level of financial responsibility over the training budget is required for this role.  The Learning Manager will be responsible for development and implementation of learning initiatives mainly focused on Sales and Marketing.

  • Learning / Training

    • Needs Analysis

      • Prepare and review report

      • Document training needs

      • Implement training solutions

    • Logistics

      • Manage all logistics for Sales and Marketing specific programs

      • Liaison with division Admin's for Sales programs

    • Tracking

      • Prepare tracking documents for each session.

      • Review and analyze reports. Propose and implement solutions.

    • New programs

      • Select vendors and programs for individual employees

      • Develop content

    • Delivery

      • Implement programs

  • Budget Management

    • Monthly review and analysis of Budget

  • HRIS / PDR

    • Prepare documents for process

    • Review and validate documents

  • Special Projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in human resources or business administration plus course work in the subject area of development and effectiveness and adult learning. MA/MBA a plus.

  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in the areas of: Corporate Training, and  Marketing or Sales experience in Consumer Product companies highly preferred.

  • Required Skills/Competencies:

    • Ability to listen, coach and provide objective feedback.

    • Superior communication, management, planning and presentation skills.

    • General knowledge of major Human Resources elements, e.g. succession planning, talent review, performance management.

    • Knowledge of the theory and practice of adult learning.

    • Attention to detail and strong organization skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    • Solid project management skills.

    • Ability to influence laterally and vertically.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers to deliver business results.

    • Knowledge of Sales and Marketing.

    • Ability to drive projects to completion.

    • Self starter.

    • Travel 30%
